Guru Hargobind Hospital, founded by S.Surjit Singh cheema started its normal functioning during 1995 with 50 bed capacity. This hospital has been established in the area of Village Garha Jalandhar, to provide medical facilities to the poor and down trodden section of society, without discretion of caste, creed and religion. Patients from local and surrounding districts come in daily who are provided expert medical facilities on very nominal charge. With the constant and strenuous singular efforts of Baba Kashmira Singh Ji, this hospital has now attained the position of a Super Specialty Hospital with the capacity of 350 beds. A team of 24 highly qualified and experienced doctors. Department of Medicine, Surgery (General and Laparoscopic), Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Gynae. & Obst., Pediatrics, Orthodentistary , ENT, Anaesthesiology, Dermatology, Pathology, Radiology, De-Addiction and Physiotherapy & also Super Specialty Wing, Nephrology, Urology, Surgical Gastroenterology, Laparoscopic Surgery & Gastrointestinal Endoscopy/ERCP., Vitreoretinal Surgery, Joint Replacement are managed by reputed and highly qualified doctors with fame. Super specialty wing will also provide facilities like Bypass surgery, Kidney transplant, GI surgery and Neuro. Average daily OPD and Indoor patients are as under: -

ICCU & ICU Wing duly equipped with 10 Ventilators, Defibrillator Monitors is an exemplary one. Dialysis Wing equipped with 8 machines of high technique is set to the service of patient. This is the only hospital in the northern zone where facility of dialysis is provided free of charge. Initial checking of breast cancer with Mammography is also done free of cost. Food is also provided free to the patients.
Seven Operation Theatres are available in this hospital duly equipped with Ultra Modern equipments such as C-Arms, Harmonic Scalpel , Lithotripsy, Endoscope, Adult & Child Colonoscope, Carl Ziess angiography & Microsurgical System Millennium C X 300, Carl Ziess Visual Yag III Laser machines, baler Therapy, Neonatal wing with Pediatric Ventilator is also available in this hospital.
Free Eye and Medical camps are organized by this institution in the remote areas which are attended by thousands of people. In such camps consultation and medicines are provided free of charge.
Investigation Wing of this hospital is consisting of siemens 6-Slice spiral C.T Scan, X-Ray machine of 800 M.A. with Auto Processor, Color Doppler, Echo- cardiography, T.M.T Ultra Sound Scan, Audiometry, Bronchoscopy, Spirometry, Calposcopy and well equipped Laboratory provides all the tests to the patient under the same roof. Blood Bank is also available in this hospital.
This hospital has got two Mobile Dispensaries which visit remote villages of Punjab with a team of 10 members consisting of 3 Doctors, 2 Staff Nurses, One laboratory Technician, one Pharmacist, one Ward Helper, one Supervisor and one Driver. These Mobile Dispensaries cover about 480 villages per month to provide awareness to the masses about the diseases they are facing. Free medicine is given to every patient only for three days and he is advised to consult any nearby doctor for further treatment.
